It’s absolutely essential to participate in society. Everyday we communicate with the people around us. Clear communication is necessary to ask a price, to understand instructions, to consult with a doctor, and even to call for help.
Yet for all of it’s importance, communication can be prevented by a simple language barrier. Immigrants and refugees encounter this issue often. Such barriers hinder them from getting access to needed help, in myriad forms.
I remember how it feels to not understand the language spoken around me. So I enjoy helping people understand and be understood. This is my skill and passion.
